In Ghana, West Africa, there is a dire need for basic elementary education among a group of homeless children. These children live in the city of Accra with very nearly nothing.
Physician Assistant Kari Shmul was in Ghana with Peacework in 2007, and she was moved to direct the giving program for The Schoolchildren Project.
Approximately 130 children from inner city Accra and rural villages nearby have been identified as needing to go to school. The problem is that it takes $130.00 USD for a year of tuition, books, uniforms, and lunches.
The funds being requested of you to fund a child for his or her education would be managed directly by Eric and Felicia Anan. Eric is the minister of Good Shepherd Baptist Church, and the founder of Sovereign Global Mission. He and Felicia are not only capable of managing and directing these funds, but in fact have already placed ten children in schools.
They need our help, and it is a truly worthy cause. It is the only hope for getting these children out of the cycle of homelessness and worse.
